After the installation, you will need to restart your computer. Please do so at this time.

 

 

 

Once restarted, Launch HP RGS:

Type in the hostname/IP of your assigned workstation:

(ex: oa-room#-workstation#.ddi.sheridanc.on.ca) or (142.55.XX.XXX)

Click 'Yes' regarding the Certificate to continue:

Click Continue as shown:

Enter your Sheridan Username & Password:

Please allow a few moments for the system to log you in.

You may or may not see a quick blank screen.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will see the desktop on the lab workstation. You can now start working.

 

 

 

 

Closing your RGS Session:

 

When you are done working on the remote workstation, be sure to save your work.  After saving, it is VERY important that you RESTART the remote workstation. 

 

DO NOT SHUTDOWN OR SLEEP THE WORKSTATION.

Shutting down or sleeping the workstation, will cause you to lose any future remote connectivity.

 

Please also DISCONNECT your Cisco VPN Connection after you have completed your work.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Troubleshooting (Unable to connect to Sender):

 

If you receive a message: "Unable to connect to Sender":

 

Check the following:

- Ensure you are connected to the internet.

- Ensure you are connected to the VPN through the Cisco AnyConnect application

- Ensure you have entered the hostname correctly.

 

 

 

Troubleshooting (Lost Connection):

 

In case you have accidentally lost your VPN connection, please re-connect to the Sheridan VPN, re-log into HP RGS Receiver, and you should be able to resume your remote session.
