Connecting to the 2nd year team under Mark Shufflebottom
Setting Up Vectary
In this guide you will find instructions to sign on to a premium Vectary account which will allow you to export your 3D model to GLTF format for Augmented Reality.
Important! Required first!
Your account has been already created for you if are in 2nd year IXD. The account is under the email address of
username@sheridanc.on.ca
where username is your Sheridan username you use to login to Sheridan Central (Access Sheridan). The password for your account will be
IXD4life!
Login at the URL:
http://vectary.com
If you are unable to login, please immediately email ixd_support@sheridancollege.ca
Immediately change your password to a secure one of your choosing settings under your account avatar in the upper right corner:
Then click on the Account settings tab and change your password:
Activating premium features
To activate your premium account capable of exporting GLTF, you must accept the invite sent to your email account to join Mark Shufflebottom's Team. This will enable your free account to be a premium account using a full "edit" seat. You will have recieved two emails to your sheridan email account, if you have not please email ixd_support@sheridancollege.ca
The first email is the welcome email as shown here:
The second email will be with a button to accept the invitation to the Team and receive your edit seat.
After you have clicked the button, you will be asked to login to your account. You will see a screen such as this:
Note if you look under settings then Plans and billing, you will see that it indicates you have a free account as shown here:
This is normal. The account is free, but the workspace you have joined by invitation enables the features you will use.
The workspace is a premium account. Therefore, you are able to access premium features under that workspace without the need to have your own premium account.
You are now ready to use Vectary in class.
