Setting Up Replit

In this guide you will find instructions to sign on to a premium Replit account which will allow you to edit and run your code in the browser while also editing in real-time with your faculty.

Important! Required first!

Your account has NOT been created for you if are in 1st and 2nd year IXD.  You will receive an invite email shown below:

Click on the button to be taken to a webpage that will allow you to create an account.  Create an account with the email address in the form of

username@sheridanc.on.ca

where username is your Sheridan username you use to login to Sheridan Central (Access Sheridan).  User your sheridan username as a username if it already has'nt been taken.  If it has, append a number until you find a username that is available.

Note the red bar at the top after you have successfully logged in, you must go to your email and click on the verification link.

Then click on the Complete Verfication  or paste the URL into your browser:

You may receive an email invite send by faculty to join a multiplayer repl where all users can edit at the same time with avatar labeled cursors.  Accept the invitation by clicking the button in the invite email.
